Step 1: prepare the onion.

Take the onion and peel it with a knife. Rinse under running water.
On a cutting board, cut it into medium cubes. Choose the diameter of the cube arbitrarily, the main thing is that it is not too large. Place the chopped onion on a plate.

Step 2: Prepare the chicken breast.


Take the chicken fillet and rinse it under running water. Place it on a meat cutting board, remove the veins and cut it into small pieces with a knife.
I cut pieces with diameter 2 by 2 centimeters. Chicken, cut into small pieces, marinates and cooks well and quickly.
Take the chopped chicken, place it in a deep bowl, add ground black pepper, ground allspice and 2 teaspoons of olive oil. We take the cubes, crush them right in the package, unfold the crumpled cubes, and you get broth powder. Crumbled sprinkle cubes over chicken. Sprinkle with soy sauce and mix all the ingredients thoroughly with a spoon. Leave the chopped chicken fillet marinate for 20 - 25 minutes.

Step 3: Prepare the broccoli.

Let's take broccoli. We wash it under running water.
We separate the broccoli into florets with our hands and place them in a saucepan.
Turn on the stove to medium level. Pour running water into the pan with broccoli so that it covers the top of the cabbage. Add salt to taste. The main thing is not to oversalt, we have other ingredients that we will season with salt. Cook broccoli for 20 – 25 minutes.
After the broccoli is cooked, place it in a colander and let it drain and cool. In order not to wait for the cabbage to dry, dip it in a paper kitchen towel. Place the finished, dried, boiled broccoli in a deep bowl.

Step 4: fry the meat.


The meat was marinated. Turn the stove on to medium level and place the frying pan on it. Pour into a heated frying pan 2 teaspoons olive oil and wait until it warms up. Add marinated pieces of chicken fillet to the heated olive oil, help yourself place them in the pan with a tablespoon. Fry the chicken until fully cooked until it is covered with a golden brown crust. Chicken fillet, and even marinated, is fried very quickly. Within 10 minutes the meat will be ready. When frying meat, do not forget to stir it with a wooden spatula so that it is fried on all sides and does not burn.

Step 5: fry the onion and broccoli.


Turn the stove on to medium level and place the frying pan on it. We put it in it 2 tablespoons of olive oil and heat it. Using a tablespoon, add diced onion into the heated olive oil. Fry the onion until milky - the onion should darken, but not be fried.
To the almost cooked onion, add the broccoli, disassembled into inflorescences and boiled. We screw the plate to a small level. Fry the broccoli with onions for 5 - 7 minutes. While frying, mix the ingredients with a wooden spatula.

Step 6: combine all ingredients.


Add the fried chicken fillet to the almost finished broccoli and onions. Mix everything thoroughly with a wooden spatula. Fry all the ingredients together for another 1 - 2 minutes. Add 6 tablespoons of water. Sprinkle garlic on top of the products stewing in water through a garlic press. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer vegetables for another 2 minutes. Our dish is ready. Remove the pan from the stove. Place on a plate.

Step 7: Serve Chicken and Broccoli.

Chicken with broccoli is served as the main course. You can serve it as a side dish with mashed potatoes or boiled rice with butter. Personally, when I prepare this dish at home, I don’t always have time to cook the side dish. This meat is so tender and tasty that you can happily eat it without a side dish, just with bread. Today I want to offer you a classic step-by-step recipe for cooking chicken. As I said above, the casserole turns out very tasty and satisfying. It can be prepared either in the oven or in a slow cooker.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken fillet - 500-600 gr.,
  • Broccoli - 300 gr.,
  • Sour cream - 200 gr.,
  • Eggs - 3 pcs.,
  • Hard cheese - 100 gr.,

Broccoli and Chicken Casserole – Recipe

Once all the ingredients are prepared, you can start preparing the broccoli and chicken casserole. Using a knife, cut the broccoli into small florets. Boil water in a small saucepan. Salt it lightly. Add broccoli. Blanch the cabbage for about 1-2 minutes. During this time, the cabbage will not have time to become soft, especially its stem, and this is exactly what we need. If you boil it more, its flesh will become soft and it will not be as tasty in chicken casserole.

Drain the cabbage in a colander and let cool. Cut the chicken fillet obtained from chicken legs or breast into medium-sized cubes. Approximately the same as for preparing chicken stewed with eggplant and tomatoes.

Prepare the base sauce for the casserole. It is very easy to prepare. Place sour cream in a bowl. Beat in the egg.

To make the casserole tasty, in addition to salt, which I recommend adding to your taste, also add spices. The amount and composition of spices for preparing chicken and broccoli casserole is at your discretion.

Now stir the sour cream and egg mixture for the chicken casserole with a fork.

In fact, we ended up with a mass reminiscent of a soufflé. When baked, it will become porous, like an airy omelette. So, we continue to prepare our chicken and broccoli casserole. Fry the chicken fillet pieces in vegetable oil for about 5 minutes.

Grate the hard cheese and sprinkle it over the casserole.

Place the chicken and broccoli casserole dish in the oven and bake at 180C for 20 minutes on the middle shelf. I got a little distracted and my casserole got slightly burnt. The photo shows that the broccoli sprigs have turned slightly black. Therefore, as soon as the egg base of the casserole thickens and turns golden, the casserole can be removed from the oven.

Cooked in combination with vegetables, the white meat turns out juicy and very tasty, and there is no trace of the “signature” dryness of the breasts! Tender broccoli florets, soaked in broth and spices, acquire a delicious taste and melt in your mouth.

Vegetables can be very diverse: I tried baking fillet with zucchini, potatoes, carrots and garlic - the tastes are different, but always delicious! You can also experiment with sweet peppers, pumpkin and even apples. It’s also very tasty with cauliflower – broccoli’s sister. And you can combine vegetables, coming up with all kinds of combinations: mix potatoes with zucchini, cauliflower with broccoli and bell pepper, or you can have a little of everything - you will have a bright and healthy vegetable assortment.


Due to its neutral taste, emerald broccoli goes wonderfully with chicken fillet marinated in spices. There is another dish made from these products - casserole. Try both and tell me which one you like better!

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breasts (halves);
  • 2 medium broccoli florets;
  • 0.5 tablespoon of vegetable oil;
  • 3 sweet peppers.
You can bake without the peppers or replace them with cauliflower - I just thought that the red stripes of the peppers would go beautifully with the green inflorescences. Spices for marinade:

Instructions:

Rinse the chicken breasts, dry them, sprinkle salt and spices on all sides, place them in a container with a lid and leave for a couple of hours, or overnight.

Wash the broccoli and separate it into florets. Place in salted boiling water for 2-3 minutes; no more is needed, as the cabbage is very tender and can become boiled. Place the inflorescences in a colander. Meanwhile, wash the pepper, remove the stems and seeds and cut into strips.

Lightly grease a baking dish with vegetable oil and lay out the vegetables. You can add a little salt and sprinkle with oil.


We beat the marinated chicken breasts so that they become thinner and can completely cover the vegetables, and place them on top.


Cover everything with a sheet of foil - if you want the meat to be more dietary and juicy. If you do not cover, the breasts will be more ruddy, crispy, but also a little dry.

Place in the oven on a medium level and bake for about 35 minutes at 180-190C. To check for doneness, carefully remove the foil and test the meat with the tip of a knife: is it soft? 1. First, you need to thoroughly wash the breasts, dry them and marinate them in spices and salt. The breasts will marinate for about two hours, but you can marinate them overnight, during which time the breasts will absorb the marinade and be completely saturated with spices.

2. Broccoli must first be boiled. Wash the vegetables and divide into small florets.
Since broccoli cooks very quickly, you need to prepare salted water, bring to a boil and immerse the florets in boiling water for just a couple of minutes - the vegetables will remain intact and will not boil, but will become tender and soft. At the end of the cooking time, drain the broccoli in a colander.

3. To make the meat more tender and not dry out during baking, already marinated breasts need to be beaten well.

4. While you are assembling the dish and placing it on the pan, be sure to preheat the oven in advance, setting the temperature to 180 degrees, the meat will not lose its juiciness, immediately setting into a crust.

5. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil, add broccoli, lightly season with butter and a pinch of salt.

6. Place the breasts on top so that they completely cover the broccoli and also sprinkle them with vegetable oil.

7. To make the dish juicy and truly healthy, dietary, cover the pan with foil, so all the moisture will remain inside. But if you want to get an appetizing, golden-brown and crispy chicken, you don’t need to cover the pan with foil, but keep in mind that without foil, some of the moisture will evaporate and the meat will be dry.

8. Place the pan in the oven on the middle rack and bake the dish for 35 minutes.

9. After the time has passed, check the chicken: carefully unscrew the foil and pierce the breast with the end of a knife, if the chicken is soft and easily pierced, then the chicken breasts with broccoli in the oven are ready, you can turn off the oven. There is no need to check the vegetables; they are ready a long time ago, because they were previously boiled. If the meat is not ready, cover the pan with foil and continue baking. Repeat the check after 5-10 minutes. When the chicken is ready, you can brown it by leaving the oven on, but removing the foil from the pan - five minutes of this baking will be enough.
