Recipe with photos step by step:

Place a pan of water over high heat and place a colander or metal sieve on the rim. Cover with a lid of suitable diameter. While the water is boiling, prepare the potato tubers. Peel and cut in half. Using a sharp-nosed teaspoon, make a hole in the potato half to form a boat. Let's trim the bottom a little for stability. This way we will prepare the required amount of potatoes. The pulp that has been cut out can be added to the minced meat (half) or can be steamed and mashed with butter or sour cream.

Place the potato boats in an improvised steamer in one or two layers. Add some salt and boil for a couple of minutes, 15, until half cooked.

Let the potatoes cool slightly. Transfer to a deep bowl. Sprinkle with paprika or a mixture of paprika and chili, and salt. Drizzle with vegetable oil. Cover the dish with a lid and shake several times so that the spices, oil and salt are evenly distributed and get on each potato.

Turn on the oven. While it is heating up to 180 degrees, we will make the filling from minced meat. Pass the meat and onion through a meat grinder. Following the meat, grind part of the potato pulp (about half) in a meat grinder. Mix with chopped herbs, season with ground pepper and salt. Mix everything thoroughly until it becomes a homogeneous viscous mass.

Fill potato boats with minced meat. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment or in a mold with sides, greasing the bottom and walls with oil. Place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

We take it out and check the readiness of the potatoes and minced meat. Sprinkle with grated cheese and return briefly to the oven, on the top level. After about five minutes, the cheese will melt and you can remove the finished dish from the oven.

We serve the finished potatoes to the table immediately; they are very tasty while hot, fresh from the oven. You can supplement it with any pickles, marinades, fresh vegetables or a juicy salad of tomatoes, cucumbers, young cabbage or radishes with herbs. Bon appetit!

We wash potatoes of the same size and pierce them with a fork in different places so that the skin does not crack. Place in a preheated oven and bake at 200 degrees for 40-60 minutes.

Check to see if the baked potatoes are ready. You need to pierce the tuber with a wooden skewer. Ready! We take it out of the oven.

Finely chop the onion and saute it in vegetable oil.

We fill our baked potatoes in the oven with the resulting filling. Make a hole to fit the egg. In this case, small eggs or even quail eggs are perfect. Otherwise the protein will leak out.

Beat one egg into each potato half. I had regular large eggs. First, I separated the white a little, and put the yolk with the remains of the white into the potatoes. So little came of it. All that remains is to salt the eggs and put them in the oven for 15 minutes. Temperature 180 degrees. Remove when you see fit, looking at the condition of the white and yolk.

Potato boat recipe

1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly, do not peel them, place them in a saucepan, add water and boil in their skins until tender (the tubers are easily pierced with a fork) in unsalted water.

2. Cool the cooked tubers to room temperature. Cut lengthwise into two even parts, carefully scoop out the pulp with a teaspoon. You will get some kind of boats for filling with filling. Do not throw away the pulp.

Attention! It is important not to pierce the potatoes all the way through, so it is better to leave a little pulp near the bottom rather than just the skin.

3. Cut the meat and peeled onions into small pieces, chop the herbs, grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

4. Mix potato pulp with herbs, add meat (minced meat), onion and cheese (leave a little for sprinkling). Season with sour cream, salt and pepper, then stir again until smooth.

5. Fill the potato boats with the filling obtained in the previous step. Place the filling tightly in a mound 4-5 cm above the level of the “wall” of the boat. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top (the dish will be juicier).

6. Place the prepared boats on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil so that they do not touch each other.

To get a golden crust, each boat should also be greased on all sides with vegetable oil (preferably olive oil).

7. Bake in an oven preheated to 200-225°C until cooked (about 25-30 minutes), then remove and cool slightly before serving.

8. Potato boats can be eaten both warm and cold; they go well with sauces and fresh vegetables.
