Cake “Snow slide with prunes.

Description

Snow Mountain Cake- not just a very tasty holiday dessert, but a real winter decoration. One look at it is enough to fill you with the atmosphere of Christmas and New Year. And if you think that creating such beauty at home is unrealistic, you are mistaken. The recipe for the “Snow Hill” cake is designed to convince you that everything is within our power, if only we wish. Cake decor is actually not as difficult to prepare as it might seem at first glance.

Our step-by-step recipe with photos will clearly illustrate each stage of creating a particular decoration. You can easily handle everything and create your own snow slide. In addition, you can decorate this cake however you like. You can make a more cartoonish and childish version or, conversely, more sophisticated and elegant.

Let's start creating icicles and snowflakes!

Ingredients

  • (at your discretion)

  • (as much as needed to cover the cake /can be replaced with white icing/)

  • (at your discretion)

  • (as much as you need for decoration)

  • (200 g)

  • (a little for snowballs)

Cooking steps

In order to decorate a cake festively, we actually need the cake itself. Or rather, its biscuit base. You can purchase ready-made cakes or bake them at home. We cover our cake with white cream. Generously grease the horizontal surfaces, especially the top if the cake has more than one tier. Now we will create a snow angel. To do this, children simply fall into the snow and move their arms and legs around. We will use a spoon and just make small depressions.

If you purchased not coconut flakes, but a whole coconut, then remove the pulp and grind it in a blender. Sprinkle the finished shavings all over the white cream.

To create snowballs, we need additional sponge cake or excess that was formed during the cooking process. Add a little cream to the crushed cake so that it can be sculpted. We form balls and put them in the refrigerator. After hardening, cover with glaze and sprinkle with coconut flakes.

A snow slide simply cannot be called one without hanging icicles. Therefore, we have to create them. Melt isomalt, also known as a sugar substitute, in a water or steam bath.

Place parchment paper on a baking sheet. Form the icicles we need so much. This can be done using a regular journal. Place it under one of the edges of the parchment paper to make a mound and “roll” the melted isomalt over it. Let the figures harden.

We will create snowflakes from edible gel. Prepare it according to the instructions on the package. Then place parchment paper on a clean baking sheet and draw a snowflake, sprinkle it with coconut flakes.

You can take absolutely any shape for decoration. You can also make a snowman or a penguin - whatever suits the winter theme. We decorate the cake with the finished figures.

We lay out our frozen snowballs.

This is what a formed snow angel should look like.

The “Snow Hill” cake is ready and can be served. Keep exclusively in the refrigerator.

    Bon appetit!

I baked this cake more than once, we really loved it at first sight and from the first bite,
The cake is baked very simply - even with ease, so there should not be any difficulties. Let me immediately note that the quantities of products given are based on the cost of a large cake for an equally large company. If you want to bake a more intimate version, you can reduce the ingredients.

What you need for the cake:

For filling

30-40 pieces of pitted prunes,
30-40 pieces of shelled walnuts,
250 ml wine or liqueur;
for dough - 3 eggs,
1.5 cups sugar,
1 teaspoon of soda, slaked with vinegar,
300 g margarine,
4.5 cups flour;

For cream
- 400-500 g full-fat sour cream,
200 ml cream,
2 cups sugar;

For decoration - 1 bar of black and 1 bar of white chocolate.

Soak prunes in wine or liqueur - preferably overnight, but possible for a couple of hours

Beat the eggs with sugar until it is completely dissolved.

Add slaked soda:

Chop flour with margarine.

Combine the egg mixture with flour and quickly knead the dough. I also added 3 tablespoons of sour cream - for softness
It is advisable not to knead the dough for a long time - although, in principle, it already comes out very pliable, soft and problem-free. The main thing is not to “fill” it with flour...

Now take the prepared prunes out of the alcohol and stuff them with halves of nuts - like this:

We randomly divide the dough into equal pieces.

From each such piece we make a ball in the palm of our hand. How many balls you get - so many parts for the cake.

Place prunes and nuts in the center of each ball and seal.

Place the finished balls on a baking sheet lined with paper.

Dear housewives, here’s a nuance: if you have enough patience, you can make the balls very miniature, then everything will be definitely cooler. And the balls will not spread during baking, but will remain in their original shape. But this doesn’t affect the taste in any way, of course. I have very large “specimens”

Here, in fact, put the baking sheet in the oven at 180 degrees for about 15-20 minutes - look at the appearance of the balls, they will be slightly baked, but it is important not to dry them out! Ready ones can be easily checked using a dry stick...

Now the impregnation is cream. Whip cream (I use 33%) with sugar:

Gradually add sour cream, constantly whisking. It turns out to be a fairly thick mass. Sugar - see to your taste, you can add less.
Now we begin to put our “snowballs” into the mold. Cream - layer of cookies - cream again... And so on until the very top.

There is an even more simplified option: simply pour the livers into a large bowl and fill them with cream - let them sit for 10 minutes, then place the soaked balls on a dish like a slide...

Well, the bowl is completely filled, pour the remaining cream on top and put the bowl in the cold - of course, ideally overnight.

In the morning the “slide” is ready - it comes out of the mold easily:
Now melt the dark chocolate in a water bath or with the addition of vegetable oil:

And fill the cake - you can completely, you can partially.

Either grate white chocolate, or melt it, let it harden, and then remove the chips with a spatula or knife.

When the dark chocolate hardens, pour white chocolate on top like snow:

We serve the cake already “snowy”:

As usual, I spent a lot of time describing everything, but in reality it’s all quick and simple. Now the most important thing: it’s extremely tasty! Here is what the author herself writes about her cake: “My signature cake delights my family and friends. Firstly, for its original appearance, and secondly, for its simply delicious taste.” I subscribe to these words!

The dough is very tender, soft and melts in the mouth; it keeps well even after several days. And about the cut - you can see everything for yourself, it's just a surprise for those with a sweet tooth

The cake is very convenient because it can be served without any problems without the help of a knife - just “disassemble” into separate parts - “snowballs”.

Although you can cut it traditionally into pieces - the portions turn out to be very large
Pamper your loved ones - they will appreciate it! And here's a cup of fresh tea for you - would you like another piece?...

Quick New Year's cake with sour cream “Mountains in the Snow”
______________________________________________________________________________

For a long time now, everyone has been tired of cakes made from short layers covered in cream. I want something new and unusual. The New Year’s cake with sour cream “Mountains in the Snow”, which consists of delicate balls filled with sour cream, will be just such an original and unusual dessert. Pleasure, and that's all. Such a cake will definitely become a decoration for the holiday table; children who love sweets will especially like it, and even in such an unusual form.

The “Mountains in the Snow” cake can be prepared for the New Year, a birthday or any other holiday. The cake is universal and very quick to prepare. After all, you no longer need to fuss with baking cakes one piece at a time. You bake all the balls at once, and then simply coat them and leave them to harden. Saving time is obvious.

Ingredients

2 eggs,
200 g butter,
150 g sugar,
flour (as much as the dough will take, about 1.5 cups),
500 ml sour cream,
1 teaspoon of soda, slaked with vinegar,
1 cup sugar (for cream),
chocolate

Let's make the dough. Mix sugar with butter, knead until smooth.

Add eggs, soda, slaked with vinegar. Mix everything well.

Add flour, knead soft elastic dough. You can let it stick slightly to your hands.

Place the dough in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.

Take the dough out of the refrigerator. We tear off small pieces from it and form balls with a diameter of 1.5-2 cm. Please note that the dough contains soda, and therefore the balls will increase in size.

Place the balls on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Using parchment in baking is very convenient, because the dough never sticks, comes off easily, and does not burn.

Bake the balls in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 200 degrees.

We make cream, for it we need sugar and sour cream.

Using a mixer, beat 500 ml of sour cream (fat content: 21%) with sugar, leave for a while so that the cream thickens a little.

The cream is ready.

Dip each ball into the cream and place it on a plate in the shape of a mountain.

Lay out the balls
This is how the slide should be.

Pour the remaining cream on top of the resulting mountain.

Grind the chocolate onto a fine grater and sprinkle on top of the cake. You can melt the chocolate and pour it over it, but the effect will not be the same.

We put the finished New Year's cake “Mountains in the Snow” in the refrigerator for at least an hour so that it is well soaked and becomes homogeneous.
